300SDL 4 speed swap??
300SDL 4 speed swap??
1983 300CD "Spike" Stock, as of now.
Anyone heard of or seen this swap done? I found an 300SDL with the 617 turbo and I already have a Getrag 4 speed, clutch kit, pedal assembly, etc.. I've just never seen this done before.. I've been searching the net for weeks, opinions?

I'm wondering if your driveshaft would be different. Or what driveshaft is even in there, 300SDLs didn't come with 617s to start with so somebody rearranged stuff.

and the 300SDL had the om603
I am currently putting a 6 spd manual in an 300SDL with om603
The hardest part was finding a manual pedal set they only came with manual transmission in the European hotel cars.
some people have said you can modify the w123 pedal set but its quite a bit different
I'll post a pic of the differences
