can u tell me your flyweel/clutch/gearbox sulution?

And what`s your timing now? because i think 650deg is not high for 3.3 bar boost! im om 2.4 bar boost on 606 and have 720 degrees celsius. i put the temp sensor directly in one pipe of my manifold about 1intch above the zylinderhead so there is the hotterst point. i testet in the downpipe der was 550 deg with same adjustments.

thx

hi,
Standard dual mass flywheel, standard box. Paddle clutch and uprated pressure plate.
Need to check timing, was set at 15dbtdc and then adjusted for max power. Only running
2.2bar now to get 385hp, turbo housing wide open

Whats the problem?
It´s all about marketing, if you did it in 2003, why dont show it? And you did 385 BHP from a OM601 with 7 mm element?
I did it in 2011 and in 48 hours 3000 views. Thats good marketing I think. It gives me a lot of jobs & inquiries anyway, and I dont complain over that.

No beans Wink
Nothing against the marketing.
The point is that there is no need 385 hp to do that kind of burning.

And no, there was no 385 hp in that 200 D Big Grin

But like jeemu says: some people talk, some people do.

hi,
here is a dyno graph overlapped. The red graph is turbo housing half closed which gives more torque, althought the pump timing was not correct on this run.
You can see the difference in spool up.
Now that i have the desired rpm i will work on manifold and new turbo housing and some engine work to increase power and torque.

Congratulations to you mantahead, you have put Ireland on the map closer to Finland. I am sure with a new manifold, some head work and maybe a new intake?, you will be even closer to the Finns. Imagine going to Finland on a dragrace and beat some of them? that would be somethingBig Grin

Hi,
You will find that they have 600 to 700 NM which is not lb ft. For example on Jeemu 466hp run he had 662nm which is 488 lb ft. Check ouy his graph under. OM605 dyno thread

But like jeemu says: some people talk, some people do.

Pasi built my Pump, because when I did it, 9 months ago, Goran wasn't on here and I hadn't spoken with him.

I think it is very good that we can find people all over europe to do these pumps - I know there is that guy in holland too who does them. There is also a guy here in the UK who makes pulling pumps for ford/newholland (simms maximec etc).

Pasi, perhaps you should make some videos, unless you are already so busy with work?

The point is that there is no need 385 hp to do that kind of burning.

And no, there was no 385 hp in that 200 D Big Grin

But like jeemu says: some people talk, some people do.

look what came in the post...Its my 12cm housing that came from Canada...

Um, is that for a GT22V? If yes, where do I get one? I sent off my GT22V's exhaust housing three months ago to I-won't-say-who, to get a mating flange made, and it is beginning to look like I will never see that housing again...

hi,
i have being doing some thinking, some people think i should be maybe making more power with my current set up. What i would like to know is:
Are there any dyno graphs out there of a completly standard om605 engine with bigger turbo and modified pump making more power????????

The other thing to remember is: if i run my car on inerita dyno it will make 400+bhp. I know this as i have a lot of experience with different types of dyno.

Wayne,

from my side I was wondering about the flat at 5500.
Simply trying to understand what happens there.
This shape of the curve is similar to what you had in the past:
Climbing and suddenly flatting. Wasn't that the reason for increasing max. rpm?

hi,
i didn't expect power to keep climbing over 5500rpm as i know this is nearly impossible on standard cams.

The reason i want the high rpm now is:
I intend doing some head and cam work to get the power to rise with rpm.
i only wanted to do the pump once, rather than sending it back to get more rpm and then send it back again etc.
I had to keep the engine standard at the minute for the challange to compare results.
Still, no one can show me standard om605 engine dyno graph to compare.

hi,
i know you had 550hp but never seen the graph.
Hi, if you don't mind me asking, why on this 466hp graph does the hp and torque not cross over at 5250rpm?
usually on dyno graphs that use the same axis for hp and torque they always cross at 5250rpm.

Lines don't cross at 5250rpm because the units are hp and Nm, not hp and lb/ft. Also the lines don't cross if the torque and HP are scaled differently (Nm scale 0-1000Nm, HP scale 0-500hp for example)

hi,
yea, starting to get the feel for it. I have slk lowering springs that i modified and cut a coil off. I also shortened the back shocks.
I give her a blast in third on the straight with some traction and she pulled 95mph before i had to brake for the corner.
It has plenty of power for drifting. I want to drag race it next year as well.

hi,
at the last days drifting i had some overheating problems due to bursted radiator. Then i had no compression. I never opened the engine until last week. I have drag racing next sunday that i want to go to as i never got last year.

Engine results:
badly blown head gasket
valves not seating properly
cam chain sprocket bolts had came loose.

This is head from my other engine which had leaking valves in cyclinder 3
[Image: utf-8BSU1HMDA4NjctMjAxMjA0MDQtMTkzMC5qcGc.jpg]

This engine also had one bad piston. It looks like it has taken something through at a time.
