Hi. I live in Poland. This is my Mercedes W123 300D without turbo. Year 1984, now 124,000 km. I bought it three years ago from the first owner in Germany. The only modification to the air filter K & N. Excuse me, but I write poorly in English. Yes. It filters the air badly and these engines will see no benefit at all from one.

Do you throw away K & N? What kind of a filter according to the manufacturer should you buy? I do not want to have an engine failure. Sorry for poor English
