1984 Mercedes 300td 4 door Sedan

Car has roughly 190,000 miles
We have owned this car for the last 6 years during which we replaced or repaired:
Brakes
Injection lining
Exhaust
Window switches
Stereo
Many vacuum lines
Front ball joint and alignment
and more this is just what I can remember off the top of my head

This car is perfect for a new driver. It is big heavy and safe but you don't have to worry about paying for it at the pump. It would also make a great project car for someone who can do body work. The car is very mechanically sound, but the body shows it's age. This car is also capable of running off of straight vegetable oil or biodiesel with little to no conversion

The good:
Car runs strong
Great gas mileage (26- 27MPG) if not more
Perfect Highway cruiser
Large safe car
Oil heater still works
Leather is in great shape
Runs fully synthetic oil
A/C still works recently recharged

The bad:
Some body rust on the underside
Paint could be better but it is 26 years old so
Interior isn't perfect need some work basic things
Sunroof will open and close but lines and track need to be oiled.(motor still in good condition)
Looking for $2,000 obo

Thanks
Jeff

Sounds like a nice car. What is an 'injection lining'?

Rusted out beat down 300d turbo 82' -- RIP
Nice body, tons of ridiculous mechanical issues - 300d turbo 82' /motor 85'

Thanks! Wasn't sure what to call them but I replaced the plastic synthetic wrapped fuel lines to each of the injectors

The block heater, we plug it in overnight here in the winter for a nice quick startup in the morning

Sorry I thought this was a wagon at first... You have a 300D, sometimes called "300DT" in certain parts stores.

Thread Title: "FS 1984 300td"

Just wanted to point that out in case somebody was looking for a sedan and didn't click your link because they saw TD. Not trying to be mean or anything just want to help. Nice lookin' car btw Smile

'98 E300 Turbo "Juliette" - Brabus wheels and almost all the options a w210 could have
'87 300D Turbo "Roxanne" - #22 head - 400E brakes - EGR Delete - 17" Staggered AMG 5 spoke rims from CLK500 - 5 Spd manual
2007 Chevy 2500HD CCSB Duramax with about 400-500 rwhp depending on the tune I use Big Grin
1983 300D Silver Exterior/Black inside - Sold and will be missed, may we never meet in a PnP.

Block heater is in the water jacket not oil pan, right.
So it's a coolant heater Wink

Nice looking ride at a good price. Bring it to the meet up next weekend and I'll kick the tires and leave a review.

Does look nice, wish I could stumble upon one like it closer to me so I could kick the tires. Been looking for something for my oldest kid since his current Galant is dying a very painful and slow death.
