my 190d has been getting 36mpg now that the engine broke in and the trans finally works. (not to rub it in)

But I will be biking once my wagon is back on the road. I am not paying that and I am not using WVO... fukk it.

Yeahhhh my gti technically gets 34-36 on the freeway but all my driving is short trips around town so I get like 20 avg on a tank.

I know the 240d should get good mileage but with diesel prices this high its still cheaper to drive my gasser unless I use wvo

And to think it costs them LESS to make diesel, as it's a byproduct of gasoline manufacturing...
At least it used to cost less back in the 90's, not sure about today with the ULSD stuff.
In the end it's just greed.

Ich liebe meine Autos!

1981 Mercedes-Benz 300SD | 156K Miles | 2nd Owner | EGR Disabled [Removal Pending] | ALDA Removed | Straight Pipes | GT2256V??? | Laser Interceptor | Engine swap over summer, hopefully with GT2256V attached...

1981 Mercedes-Benz 300SD | Odo Stopped at 160K (at least 50K more) | EGR Disabled | ALDA All The Way Out | Straight pipes | FM-870 Remote Start Alarm System | B100 Biodiesel | AC Fixed x2 | Trunk crushed in Sad | Retired to garage.

(04-06-2011, 04:13 AM)stan yes but do you have suburbs and have to drive long distances to get to anything?

Not me, but the highway into Zagreb is clogged in the morning, it's also clogged on the way out of Zagreb in the evening.

I also know people that do 40k+ miles per year. Don't know how much that is by USA standards. Also the living standard here is lower, considerably. But we're getting way off topic now.
