I started brainstorming on this project and gathering parts several months ago and just recently pulled the engines on the two. Now im waiting on the weather to cooperate. I have decided to just keep the mercedes automatic tranny just for the ease of everything and the expense of a manual. I was talking to someone the other day who thought he knew a lot about these cars and mentioned that the tranny in these cars rotated backwards from the s10. This was news to me. Does anyone kmnow if there is any truth to this? Or how the gearing will be for the truck?

The trans output is the same as the engine, clockwise. Does the S10 run counterclockwise or something? How odd.

No both engines are the same. Clockwise. I couldnt understand why this guy told me that but he had said that the Mercedes transmission somehow reversed the rotation. I couldn't see this happening but im always learning new things about these cars so i thought i'd ask the experts. Thanks.
