Hi,

I have a MB g class w463, it was a 350 turbo diesel.
But when i got the head changed, then the engine went.
So i swapt it for a om606 turbo diesel. and put the IP of the 350.
But i need some advice regarding the timing, the IP is not modified.
And do i need to time the IP as well if so can someone tell me how i should do it.
Both the timing of the engine aswell as the IP .

It is my first conversion, so i'm kinda new to it ,

and this forum is very useful, I learned a lot from all of you all.

Thank you,

Zirgham

Hi Zirgham, that's a great combination. I know a few people who have done it. both in w463 and in w460 G's. One of them is running without a computer and idles beautifully.

Hi,

the IP has a port for a locking device on the left side (on the thicker part of the governor).
The notch which is then visible in the bore shows the IP in 15 deg ATDC.
Lock it there and install the IP when the engine is at 15 deg ATDC on the pulley.

Be very careful to run the engine if the injection time does not match. It could blow.

I wouldn't mind getting an STD..Tongue

I think he did the same - 463 bumper with the ic in it.
I don't recall any plumbing issues but the IC may have already been there with the previous engine
