You have no real world experience on this huh? Put any turbo car under a high load and slow the engine down real fast by either shutting a throttle body or stopping the fuel, I bet that all of them that don't have a blowoff or a recirc valve will get alittle surge or flutter. I bet your vnt car will do it too. There are very few diesels that I have seen that won't and they are all either drive by wire or common rail.
The stick turbo did it worse.
Your first post made it sound like it was going to surge under a load. Or have you ever even seen that? Like when you little vnt gets stuck and creates to much back pressure and the boost pressure cannot over come it and it causes reversion. That's true surge. Everyone know that a turbo will flutter with out a bov and a situation like this.
