Now, I dont wanna start a fight here, haha. Just wanna ask something.

In regards to oils for winter.
I'm partially fond of Rotella T and I found some @ Wall World.
There is 10W-30, 5W-30 Synthetic, and SAE 30.
I would like to know which one would be good use in winter.
I dont really wanna use the 5W cuz its syn and switching dino to syn isnt the best, plus its more $$.

So I guess my question is; is 10W-30 or SAE 30 even useable here in WI for winter?
Thanks guys.

None of the above. Your oil needs to be 5w40 or 15w40.

Wrong. Synthetic is cheaper and better in every way except initial purchase price.

What I had meant was I had heard that switching back and forth from dino to syn. ever fall/winter, winter/spring wasn't the best for the engine.

Can I run 5W-40 year round?

That doesn't make much difference. With synthetic you only need to change the oil once a year unless you drive extreme mileage.

Really? Wow, I did not know that...
I guess I'll be switching out to the blue jug for winter and beyond. That'll def save some $$ in the long run. Wink

Thanks Forced.

Thats not synthetic. http://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/help...l#pid18977
If you want an actual synthetic you'll need to get a decent brand like Mobil, Castrol, Valvoline or Amsoil.

Or.. BG products or Mack truck synthetic. I'll be trying one or the other soon and I'll let you guys know what I think. I'm sure Agip makes a great synthetic but finding it in this country would probably be downright impossible. (much like finding Avon tires...)
