I'm looking to find a source for Mack (Mack Truck) synthetic diesel oil.

Any other inputs/suggestions.
I've been running Rotella full synthetic 5w/40 and have been dutifully impressed--mostly with the difference in ease of cold temp starts but also quieted things down a bit.

But from what I've gleamed I'm leaning towards the Mack or BG

1. Anyone know a source for the Mack?
2. Anyone try this?
3. Has anyone tried the BG products synthetic oil?

Rotella doesn't make synthetic oil. Their "synthetic" is just normal dino oil that has been extra-refined. A legal loophole allows then to claim it is what it isn't.

Since you're in upstate I'd call up Utica Mack and see what they say.
Just noticed the Oneonta, that's about an hour south...

Call up a local dealer and ask.

Should be a close service center/dealer.
