Looking to upgrade my 83 300d 14" to some 15s or 16s and found these on ebay. Need some work but wondering what fitment issues if any I might have.

Well, the offset on these says "ET11" and stock bundts are ET30, also not sure off the top of my head what the width of stock rims are but these are 8, which is definitely wider. SO these are wider and the offset is different, so they'll stick out more. Probably gonna need to roll your fenders a bit. just my $.02

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

I'm not saying to pass on them, just that there may be some small issues, but if there were never any issues with these cars that would mean something is wrong, hahaha. I would try checking out craigslist pretty regularly, I know where I live I usually see some kind of Mercedes wheels show up about every couple weeks, and usually every couple months some show up that would look pretty sweet on a w123

Those rims would fit if your not lowered, if lowered you'll need to roll the front fender. To make it look right, you also need to have a staggered set of tires also. 205 55 R16 in front and 225 50 R16 in the rears. But I guess one could run 205 55 R16 all around.

Thanks Delivery! I was looking at buying a 1974 Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC Coupe - http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLargeIm...=365299724 - because it has the Ronal wheels on it. Double the price of the rims off ebay, but iirc the front brake assembly would bolt onto my 300d for a brake upgrade at the same time???

If they are 16x8 ronals, then I wouldn't think twice to buy that car for that $800.00 price. 16x8 ronals are usually ET11 also BTW.

Not sure of the fitment of the front brakes over to a w123 but I would imagine they would be a direct swap. The interesting thing is the r107 is like a 100 lbs lighter than a 300D w123 and if the calipers have four pistons, then it will definitely have better gripping power.
