the car was leaking oil slightly from the turbo area and from the drain tube gasket seal at the bottom.

i rebuild the turbo yesterday which was easy except for the PITA removal part and the damn 30 year old bolts.

after removal i completely degreased the entire mid and lower engine parts and cleaned of all oil and other contaminants. It took much of the entire day and i finally finished up at 12 at night including the reinstall of turbo.

And it was very worth it... NO MORE OIL LEAKS... and Alot less smoke... all bolts threadlocked and tightened to speck plus all new o-rings and gaskets installed and other miscellaneous parts from mercedes source.... finshing the diesel purge today and the car will be like new.

i can here the turbo now with the cold air intake and it is awesomeBig Grin:
