TurboDiesel engine Lacks Power??

Please can anyone help me
I have an 83 Mercedes 300sd TurboDiesel IT LACKS POWER!! unless I Floor it
When i put the pedal to the floor it goes like a bat out of hell
What could this be?? Any information that you have would be extremly Helpfull.
More history on the car
Aside from the lack in power it runs excellent
It has 200k Miles
Its a one owner car
The Turbo is Definetly working
