So i have 79 240D that i'm either going to part out or sell as is and i was wondering which would bring more money?

The car has 179.000 miles and the engine and transmission are fine but there's a a pretty bad dent in the back panel by the trunk and there's some rust underneath.

Other wise the car seems to be good. What do you guys think?

The engine and trans alone could bring anywhere from $200-900 depending on the market and demand. With body damage and chassis rust, I wouldn't consider paying more than $1000 for the complete vehicle no matter the mileage.

Also, I'd be VERY unlikely to believe 179k miles is genuine without documentation since there is no other way to verify it (too old for DMV records or carfax). These clusters are too easy to swap out and odometers too easy to roll.

Thanks for the answers guys!

Forced i don't have any thing to back up the miles but i got the car from someone who was the second owner and i trust him so i think the miles are probably right.

Other wise if someone's looking for a car like this let me know.
