Can I bypass the computer controls on my 1993 140 diesel? I have blocked open the fresh air intake and plugged the EGR but the computer is still controlling the mixture and I assume turbo boost pressure. I have the original trap oxidizer at 150,000 miles and I considering the removal as I assume it would run better without it. I also wonder if there is any way to rig up a boost contoller set on intake pressure versus the computer to get more power.

Replace the vacuum wastegate with a traditional pressure wastegate and the computer will no longer have any control over power.
