My 240D has "old?" style glowplugs, they have wire connecting them to each other, and look quite abit different than any of the "modern" glowplugs ive seen on my previous diesels.
Im assuming these are inferior just because its an older design, am i wrong?

Is there a way i can change them to the "modern" style glowplugs?
Is it a direct swap?
If not, can anyone help me out figuring out whats involved?!

There is, check bw or pp maybe even dieselgiant has a thread on it.
