In the market for another coil spring compressor. I was using a craftsman simple style which was pretty old and is getting slightly dangerous.

Was going to buy another 50 dollar craftsman but I saw this-
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Di...umber=3980

but Im a little scared of it being so cheap, and possibly using a brittle material for the hooks. Anyone use this harbor freight product?

Anyone recommend a good coil spring compressor? What are you using?

1974 240D 617 turbo swap, W201 5-speed, in the works project
1983 240D 616 stock, DD
1989 Chevy Astro, 617 turbo swap, T5 5-speed, 4.56 diff, work van

This for the rear? I think that HB compressor will do. Or you can rent it for free (with a deposit of course) from Autozone.

For the fronts. Get a Klann or Klann clone off of ebay or buy one from the dealership.
