what tranny bracket is this?
1974 240D 617 turbo swap, W201 5-speed, in the works project
1983 240D 616 stock, DD
1989 Chevy Astro, 617 turbo swap, T5 5-speed, 4.56 diff, work van
found this in the dirt distant from any cars in a yard. Im pretty sure its a MB cross member, but any idea what type?

when you do the 4 spd swap into a 300D, the 240D auto X mount is the one to use.
the auto X mount that the 300D automatic uses will not work, and the 240D manual skinny one will not work. some have cut the end off and drilled a new hole or tried to mount it on an angle.
You will have to move the X mount forward to the next set of holes, and the 240D auto seems to be the one to use. this is the one I used when I did my swap.

That is the transmission X mount. looks like off a 240D automatic.
