I don't think you should have any problems beating the mileage specs you posted, especially in a light car. Power is the question. As far as I know, nobody has <<yet>> gotten more than about 130 proven HP with stock injector pump out of a 617. Another concern might be weight, because the 617 has cast iron block and head.. Yet another might be height? The 617 is a fairly tall engine, and has a weird oil pan that sticks down towards the front of the engine. Some folks are experimenting with delivery valve modifications and injector pump tuning. We will soon see what the 617 is capable of without major ($$expensive$$) injector pump modifications.
