For $80 it would be worth it just to have around to look at!

If I had the cash to spare this week I'd be buying it.

Ha! I can see it's got a Tornado 'intake system' preinstalled! Wink

I love that old crap from long ago...my guess is it's aircraft, though a tank wouldn't be out of the question.

Man, the whine that thing would have would make a hard-core Cummins guy soil his pants - front or back, I'm not sure, though!

I'm with Forced. It would make a hell of a conversation piece.

I hope one of us dieselheads scoops it up before someone buys it to convert it into a gas turbine...

I'd contribute to the cause. Smile

Cheers,

Matt

Anyone who actually gets that old thing to work on something with four wheels has my admiration. Any word on what kind of turbo it is?

Ahem...that thing would be TITS for an old 'rod. Some truly old school, vintage motor like a Flathead Ford or Nailhead Olds (Buick? Can't ever keep those straight).

Maybe a bucket rod with that turbo and a 260D motor? Big Grin

I'd make a great paperweight on top of one of those glass-topped 'engine tables'....they have the SBC, of course, but I recall seeing a (rather expensive) Ferrari version. Good use for the latter motor, can't bankrupt anyone after it's been bought, and can't catch fire and kill anyone! (I'm supposing, Ferrari engineering is, um, full of surprises Wink ).
