Hey Guys. I am from Germany and building a ‚Wolf“ 250gd with a om605 Engine.
Mods:
6mm Dieselmeken Mechanical Pump
5 Speed Transmission 717416
Turbo is Stock for the Moment but will change to 606.
3“ Exhaust
Big Intercooler
First I have to Build it very simple for the German TÜV.
Later i will change to 7.5 Element and Maybe Hx35 or 40.

I Need your advice for some things.
Is the transmission strong and is there a Performance clutch on the market or someone Knows a good Option?
Maybe there is some guys who has done a similar build and Would give me some tips.

606 turbo is great, you can push it to 230-240hp.

watch for exhaust housing on bigger turbo. i have hx35w with 12'' housing, spools far to late. HX30W would be great on 605, but depends of what you need and what you want.

Im curently having trouble on both cars with gearbox, c250td gearbox once fell apart, some say you can push 450hp on it, but mine failed at much lower power.

Cdi 270 6 speed manual can hold alot more, i have it but never tried because i cant connect cable speedo to it... as G wagon haves cable from reductor so i dont think that can be a problem on G class

Thank you for the answer. I will try the hx30 i think. Do you have c250 5-speed or 6-speed? And the stock clutch?

w201 has around 200hp on stock 2.5d 5 speed gearbox, still holds good... gripwheel is made from truck clutch material

w202 had around 300hp when 5 speed fell apart, engine has parts that can go more than 400hp but drivetrain is weak
