Any MB gearbox experts here?

I have an OM606.962 with a 722.6 box. (From a E300 W210)
But i am considering finding a 722.x box from a ML270 W134 2.7 CDI
I already changed the sump to the E320 type.

Do you think i will need to change the bell housing? Or will that now fit the 606 and the 320 sump?
If i have to swap the bellhousing from the 722.6 to ML box does that work? Is it a big job?
What about the torque converter, which will fit?

Interested to know! I assume the sump is the rear bowl type?

270CDI has the same bellhousing as 300td, but I think that sump bolt holes to gearbox will not match. 300td and 270CDI have the same size converter, both will fit.
