3000+ hp diesel
3000+ hp diesel
Lol.. Its a bigun..
This is bigger.. Yes thats me.. I did a full rebuild on both of these.
I did fall asleep in the sump lol.
Tahhe@k with the diesel in the video, I want more info on the custom rotary shown in the coments!
EDIT:
Lmfao, in the sump? Really?
Musta been weird for sure.
When we were working 12hr days on the ship it wasn't weird at all. You jut had to watch what you ate that day. Taco bell = no no for doing main/ rod bearings.
Taco hell isn't bought, it's rented for 20 to 30 minutes...
And I meant weird as in "sleeping inside an ENGINE" weird. Like a mouse in the air cleaner...
The very first time being around the large frame diesels is alittle odd but once its out of your system its just another engine

thats what the crane is for lol. We used tools to put the tools on. Everything was hydraulic to remove the big bolts we used a stud stretcher it would screw on and hydraulically stretch the stud to when we could spin the nut freely.
Edit: that connecting by itself weighs 1640lbs the piston was another 1000lbs iirc
I did a dry ice blasting on rod bearings about that size about 7 years ago. Just to take the oxidation off of them.
