Will silicone based brake fluid hurt my car?

I use copper lines every time. The law says the brake lines can't have any corrosion. So many car's here get copper linings with the annual check. Never had any problem. I've never used the "cutting ring" style adapter but have seen people using them on there own car's and never found them leaking with the annual check. But it could be that they cause issues over time because 2 different sorts of metal could cause extra corrosion and they can fill up with water.
