Browser wars. - winmutt - 12-01-2009

I am a chrome convert. After using FF since it was in beta I am fed up with the memory/resource hog that is has become. Might as well just run Mozilla.....

Chrome is so fast. So So So fast.

Compatibility, features and support?

Safari and Chrome are both using the newest webkit which seems to do everything. Rendering is just about perfect (I am on a linux 64 beta and the fonts are antialiased when they arent supposed to be but big deal). Even supports some of the CSS3 stuff. Totally impressed. The extensions are pretty lame at this point from what I have seen, mostly just shortcuts for things that take more clicks.

Still a firefail user. When Chrome gets an unlinker extension (I have not even checked, really) then I'll consider giving it a try. Unlinker is the only reason I continue to use firefox.

Gross, You can just use inspect element in Chrome. The Webdev tools in Chrome are pretty and as good or better than firebug.
