'85 IP Rack Position Sensor - 300SD81 - 11-19-2009

Anyone have info on its operation? I remember finding a couple good posts somewhere, but can't seem to find them anymore.

It basically makes a magnetic field and the computer measures the current flow through the wires as the field changes.

How cheap we talking? I don't have much now, but I'll definitely want it once I'm outta school for the summer.. Any updates on gettin that adapter plate made? My goal right now is to have an upgraded turbo in over winter break.

Check out this post.... http://fmso.de/forum/messages/413242.htm

Basically, you send an AC signal to the center post, and compare the RMS (or peak if you want to be that spiffy) voltage of each inductor output.

One of these days I'll get my OM606 pump on the wagon and fun times will follow Angel

Sweet, looks relatively easy, now I just need to find me a 10khz sine wave oscillator.. Dosen't look like a square wave will work. My electronics skills kinda end with digital signals...
