603T vs 606T efficiency - abosely - 07-27-2020

Between the 606 turbo and 603 turbo, both set up/tuned the same and making basiy the same power output which one is more fuel efficient?

Guessing the 606T because with 4 valves per cylinder it breathes better, but was curious.

I know the 606T can be tuned and modded to make more power than the 603T, because it can breath better. So not comparing power potential, just fuel efficiency in general.

Not trying to decide between the two, just curious as to the general efficiency between the two, when set up basically the same.

Cheers, Allen

If you drive the 606 with the ECU, then the wastegate is closed only enough to produce the boost needed right now. This leads to a bit more efficiency day-to-day. Unfortunately, at WOT, the tiny turbo is really a hindrance.
