can anyone help me to build a VNT turbo or the best possible turbo replacement for my 1980 300sd w116 chasis. I will pay for the time and help of anyone who has already spent the time doing this successfuly.


im only looking to increase the horesepower up 40-50hp and another 50-70tq.

You will need more than a turbo to get those numbers. The fuel isn't available without bigger injector pump elements.

No but the seat of the pants of a VNT will seem like it. My personal goal is to have a DIY list of parts to make ones own with readibly sourceable materials.

A 2256 will give a few HP (~5hp on the top end) through increased efficiency and reduced rotating mass. Its primary benefit is moving the torque peak from 2500rpm to 1800rpm. You don't more power out of it, just the same you always already had available, but it comes up much sooner.
