W210 mods? - Insane190d - 08-26-2019

Hello I just bought another 99 e300td looking to do some basic performance upgrades. I'd like to tune ecu for more power and delete egr. Any good recommendations for tune? Also see something about maf delete is that common and what will that help with? Also anything to do with turbo such as boost control wastgate vs vacuum? Will a tuned stock edc pump spin a bigger turbo?? I do have a header I can put on too. Obviously I will straight pipe it and do an intake for more flow. Any mod suggestions appreciated!

MAF delete is not necessary, it will not restrict your airflow, but you can also delete it by remapping the ecu. EGR delete is done by software when remapping the ecu. Stock pump will be able to almost double your horsepower, depends on the turbo you choose. I run a He221w with the big turbine housing on my 606 and I am very happy with it. It spools even a bit faster than the stock turbo with stock mapping but does not choke the engine until 4500rpm (k14 starts to do that at about 3400). Also, it does fit into the stock location with one adapter plate. On the other hand, you will not max out the pump with it. Need to go bigger for tha

Even with the standard turbo you can get around 200hp, what are you aiming for? A ECU tune does wake them up considerably.

It looks like the He221w is boost controlled, rather than controlled by vacuum. How is it interfaced with the ECU?

Sounds good. I do have a header for 606 with t3 flange so what turbo and size wheel should I get? I'm going to have Sean Tracey from Netherlands send me a tuned ecu. Says 300hp is possible with correct turbo. T04E? Hx30? hx35?

I did not buy any adapter plates. Just made one from 8mm steel. the lower two boltholes of both flanges line up, so there is two srews going through both flanges and the adapter, the upper boltholes are srewed into the adapter. The exhaust channels almost perfectly line up.

Just leave it boost controlled. The ecu should be modified, either the boost request map should be remapped to meet the boost of the turbo, or just remove the boost error to prevent the ecu from going into limp mode.

Hello fellas. I'm either starting to get bored of the power increase or something just isn't 100%, seems like she just isn't pulling as hard. Anyway does anyone have any other upgrades or mods to suggest? Is it a fairly simple swap to a manual transmission? Preferably a Benz trans that would bolt up.. maybe 7.5mm edc pump. Sometimes the car trips other times it just seems flat. (Cant figure out how to post pics)
