87’ 603 PS Pump Output Pressure? - abosely - 05-28-2018

I’m building a 603 that’s going into a 69’ Series IIA Land Rover built as a 100”.
I need to find out what the PS pump output pressure is for it. I need 1500psi to run FJ60 steering box and hydro brakes.
It’s out of a U.S. 87’ (12-86 build date) 300D. I’ll take a picture of it and get the model number in a bit in case that would help.

The pump sits in a nice location, so hopefully it puts out 1500psi, or if not is there another PS pump that can be fitted, or can this one be upgraded to putout 1500 psi if it doesn’t make that much pressure.

I have a build page on FB at:    facebook.com/69Series2A/

Cheers, Allen

Check the plate riveted onto the PS pump. Many MB pumps have the pressure listed.
In any case, you can replace the spring in the internal pressure valve to get the pressure you want (within reason).

Thanks, I'm not going for anything crazy, basically anything over 105bar is fine. I'll look on the pump tomorrow and see if is has anything listed.
