C220 CDI ECU EIS Swap - Seamus6930 - 04-23-2018
Hi everyone, active on the FB page but this is my first post here. I have a C220 CDI manual from 2002 that I believe the EIS module has failed on. First I had the SRS Error appearing on the dash and now the key isn't recognised. I plan to swap in an ECU, EIS and Steering column lock. Provided these parts are from a C220 of similar vintage, should this be a straight forward swap?
I see a few Auto ECUs on ebay and have been told these work if you can fool the NSS.
