Injector with needle motion sensor - Evgeniy1987 - 02-20-2017

Gentlemen , hello!

I have a question , or a request..

You probably know that especially the VE allows electronically adjustable SOI-timing. To achieve closed-loop control, on the cars with such system, there is one injector with needle motion sensor.

For the case you forgot, it looks like:

Now, the question:

For my ELITE-project, I would need something like that. I am looking for an injector that has approximately the length of the usual OM606 injector...

Because the VW TDI is like ... 5-7 cm longer .. (and has M14 thread, which sucks too.. ) and the BMW TDS Injector is very very short...

Diesel geeks, unite! Who would have an idea ?

Kind regards,

Evgeniy

(PS. At this point, I assume interchangeability of parts. I already fitted the nozzle holder of the Benz-injector onto the VT TDI body.. The thread is the same...)

I just found out that the TDS injector has a thicker body, thus the nozzle cap from the OM606 injector would not fit the TDS injector.. that is a pity Smile the search continues..

Look AAZ 1.9TD engine, its dual spring and a bit longer than BMW M51.

RE: Injector with needle motion sensor - Evgeniy1987 - 02-22-2017

Thanks, they are indeed a litle longer.. but .. AAZ is fully mechanically controlled, thus it doesn't have a needle motion sensor?

RE: Injector with needle motion sensor - starynovy - 02-24-2017

Yea.. so I must have yanked it of some french TD.

I have a possible solution

074 130 202N

It is a Stanadyne injector for the VW AJT engine .. a 88hp from Transporters. It has the size of the usual TDI VE injector, and it has a needle sensor, and it is 1-stage, which makes the task even easier. Now I have to find where to buy it...

I think they are als used in de Audi AEL and Volvo D5252T.

RE: Injector with needle motion sensor - Evgeniy1987 - 02-25-2017

Thanks, but that is unfortunately not the same thing.

What you show is the same as in my first post, and what I need is this:

RE: Injector with needle motion sensor - Fishman - 02-25-2017

I will see at my D5252t tomorow. It looks the same aa the one u need.

RE: Injector with needle motion sensor - Evgeniy1987 - 02-26-2017

Thank you!

So, the difference is :

[Image: komplekt-forsunok-2-5tdi-65-kvt-volkswag...x600_1.jpg]

And that shorter one from Stanadyne is 1-step nozzle.. and short.. and that is what I am looking for Smile

RE: Injector with needle motion sensor - Petar - 02-26-2017

How are you going to install them ? These are clamped down, OM606 factory injectors are threaded. And these seem to be designed for hole type nozzle, OM606 uses pintle style nozzle ?
Why do you need needle lift when you have a pressure sensor ??

RE: Injector with needle motion sensor - Evgeniy1987 - 02-26-2017

Well, my idea is to combine the OM606 injector with the Transporter injector.. so "the bottom" will be OM, and "the upper part" will contain the needle sensor.

I need the needle sensor to have a cheap solution of how to give a signal to the ECU that the injector is injecting. The pressure sender from my project topic costs around 450 euro, together with the adapter.

My idea is this:

I seem to have distilled a list of possible injectors from BOSCH:

Very difficult to find pictures, but they seem to be from Mercedes Touring car, MAN Truck, etc etc ...

These are injectors that contain the needle lift sensor needle:

I made another list..

This must be possibilities too
