Must be great to have no broken parts. Ordered my stuff took for ever to get and now that's here tranny cracked and the shift tabs are all busted. Tranny flopped around in the box was beat. Still waiting for reimbursement or whatever shipping insurance will cover?? Projects on a stand still again.
I'll be posting pics over on my build blog as soon as I hear word on what I'm suppose to do with these broken parts.

What turbos? That's a serious looking turbo kit there!

Using the internal gate on the small turbo?

F.R.A.S. put all the pertinent details (and some other installed pics) in the May 13th and June 9th posts on FB:
https://www.facebook.com/FtunePerformance/

"Setup is as follows:
Garrett GT3071R with a stainless Tial turbine housing in compound with a Garrett GT3582R also with a stainless Tial turbine housing. In this setup there are twin Tial 44mm wastegates.
This setup is going to the USA and a w124 daily Wink
Same guy has ordered a 6spd ZF GS6-53DZ manual transmission, a single mass flywheel and a good street friendly clutch setup.
Order your stuff today guys!!!"

Interesting.. have not you considered shortening your signature or not including it in every your post? It makes thread 2 times longer and I doubt that anyone here care much for "manual tinted windows" etc.  Wink

What is the thinking on this compressor exducer combo? If the low pressure turbo runs at a pressure ratio of two, shouldn't the small turbo compressor be about half the cross sectional area of the low pressure compressor? That would mean a diameter ratio of 0.707. These two compressor exducers are much closer than that. Maybe the inducer line up better. Is anyone running this combo on a 606?

I bet those Tial housings save a lot of weight.

RE: Early Christmas courtesy of F.R.A.S. - atypicalguy - 10-02-2016

I would be curious to know about the weight also.

nope...hadn't thought about it. Huh
manual windows are one of the best things I've done to these cars (both w123 and s124)...and not very common over here...M-B wants to maintain the "high-end" mystique on this side of the small ocean.  I'm a big fan of simplicity and durability/reliability.
Besides, most of those mods are in one of my threads (although none have been updated in years...), so if anyone is interested in any of them then they can look through them or contact me .

next time I think about it, I'll try to find my small scale and weigh them...I'm notorious for taking weeks/months for that kind of thing though, so don't hold your breath.  I moved a few months back and am still not completely unpacked/organized yet, so as I do that maybe I'll find my scale and not take so long.
They are surprisingly light though.  I think that I will have them coated before this thing gets put together...that may add a few grams!

Honestly you'll have to ask F.R.A.S. about it...he recommended this setup (actually very similar ratios recommended...just got a good deal on these), for a ~500HP "daily"  so it's not a top end setup...more torque and taller gears is what I am building this car for.  I'm interested to see how it performs...bound to be better than the w124 603/716.6/2.65:1 that I am running now!  This one wouldn't bee too bad with a little more boost and a tweaked stock pump...I just can't F with it right now as I don't have the time.  Still have a couple of nagging issues like oil pressure gage not working and no speed (need electronic converted and e400 speedo head).

Anyway, as I have/make time, I will start a thread for the engine build an another for the S124 once I get it up here from SoCal.
