The casting can be made thinner for more flow and then also lighter.

What turbo tim said.
In my personal opinion, your better off to just get a bigger turbo than a custom wheel, unless you are in a competition that requires a certain sized turbo. Or if you get a good deal on one Smile

But then the wheel is heavier and laggier.

I agree, but I guess I am very budget minded. I would rather spend $700 on a FMW Borg Warner sx-e charger than spend $400-$xxxx on a wheel only.

My billet wheel for my HE351VE was only $165. I think the BatMoWheels are like $400 though

RE: Billet compressor wheel - MFSuper90 - 05-10-2016

Tim, do you think a billet compressor has any advantages over the new redesigned sx-e wheels?

RE: Billet compressor wheel - TurboTim - 05-10-2016

Can't say. I only know when I installed my billet wheel my car spooled a lot quicker. Power wise it was tough to say but I like to think it picked up. Sorry I only speak from experience so I don't have an answer for that.
