FOR SALE: Rear Springs - Greazzer - 03-09-2016

W123 Sedan/Coupe -

See http://slsconversion.com/w123_Perf_Springs.php

These are super nice.  I ran them less than 5K miles on my car, so almost new.  Way more robust than normal springs, really no comparison.

$150 plus shipping.  So, pretty decent savings.  Includes rubber pads, which were purchased new at the time.

Selling because I will be going with HPN system down the road.

RE: FOR SALE: Rear Springs - Jooseppi Luna - 03-09-2016

Does it make the ride any harsher?  Handling tighter?  Might be interested as long as it doesn't affect the ride quality too much.

EDIT: After mulling it over, I don't think I'm terribly interested... Mass back roads are such that I'm willing to deal with some body roll for a softer ride.  This is a great deal for the right person, though.

Here is a link to when Greazzer installed these springs on his car for anyone who might be interested.  He gives his verdict on them, including answering the questions I just posed.

RE: FOR SALE: Rear Springs - MFSuper90 - 03-11-2016

I have these springs in the rear of my car and I didn't Notice a stiffer ride, but better handling and not as much "squat" with them when your loaded. But mine make an odd popping noise when loaded/unloaded quickly. A fairly now upgrade for the money, greazzer is giving someone a good deal.

RE: FOR SALE: Rear Springs - Greazzer - 03-11-2016

Popping sound? I only noticed once or twice a sound which sounded like a thuuunnngggg ... I jacked up the car when this happened, got a spring compressor, and made sure that the bottom of the spring which has the 'cork screw' end of the spring was turned into the lower swing arm pocket. I think that noise was where the spring was trying to seat itself. After I seated it, it never had that noise again. I can say the car has a totally different ride with those springs, and I think it's a great upgrade. I practiced a few "James Bond" turns and those springs truly make a difference when making super sharp right or left hand turns. And yes, I priced these to sell them as they are barely priced above regular springs. These appear almost twice as thick as OEM springs.
