Rusty @ buymbparts - winmutt - 09-16-2009

His online catalog is kind of pricey but recently I sent him a laundry list of stuff I needed and he came in with ALL the items under the pricing of any of my usual places (which I would have had to piece meal).

Just thought I would give a heads up, working with him directly may prove to be very beneficial for all. He's a nice guy on top of it all.

ALWAYS call Rusty or use the IM thing on his website. The website is run by a co-worker of Rusty, and long story short... Call Rusty.

Far better than the cheap junk Henry Schuman calls "parts"!

RE: Rusty @ buymbparts - winmutt - 09-18-2009

FYI he is buymbparts on AIM.

RE: Rusty @ buymbparts - cth350 - 11-06-2009

Rusty's new website is http://www.buymbparts.biz, and it's his exclusively, no partner. The old site is still run by Gary.

Right on the front page, there ia a chat button that lets you work with a pretty spiffy web chat tool, presuming either Rusty or Tom is at their desk, or it morphs into an email form when they're both away.

....

Did they have a falling out and are no longer buddies?

I've know both Rusty and Gary for years.
You'll have to get the back story from them.

I don't know about the buddies, seeing as they've worked together for so long. As Rusty said on the MBZ/Okiebenz mailing list... they had a difference of opinion on a business matter, and they are no longer partners. Sad

I just want to reiterate that this Rusty @ buymbparts.biz is most highly recommended by me. He is on AOL @ buymbparts and he will do his best to match or beat any of the competition.

RE: Rusty @ buymbparts - JB3 - 07-02-2010

yeah, I agree, just bought a bunch of oddball parts for a bunch of different vehicles from him the other day, cheap, high quality, quick, and he is a friendly knowledgeable guy.

EDIT- Just had my radiator blow the day before yesterday, I as able to buy a new radiator from these guys at 2pm on thurs, have it shipped overnight to me from a CA warehouse, and installed by 5 on friday. Brand new OEM radiator including 85 dollar overnight fee was LESS than all radiators in town quoted by the parts stores, all of which I would have to wait 8-10 days for on average. Several places I could not even order.

Does he ship to the great white north (Canada)?

Just got off the phone with him and he said "all the time"

I agree-one heck of a nice guy, fast shipping and good prices.

I'll second that Rusty is great, and he some how "magically" can get dealer-only parts for actually reasonable prices.

Although for generic Worldpac parts I think Halsey Imports in Portland, OR generally has the cheapest prices anywhere and will ship, but perhaps Rusty would match them.
