If you don't want to do the work of a VNT swap, a Holset HX30 will work fine. Spools enough to start triggering the ALDA at about 1800rpm, 4-5psi by 2000-2100, and up rapidly from there. That is with an un-adjusted ALDA, if I adjust it a little things will happen faster. Furthermore, the turbo is WAY more efficient than either of the stock turbos, EGTs dropped considerably after installing and running at 15psi. Its been a while since I did the calculation, but I believe this turbo is only good for about 250hp worth of fuel, so if you have your sights set on a higher target you should find a big VNT.

It would take some fabrication to fit and work its not a direct replacement! As for power it won't add any unless you add a lot more fuel! and a custom injection pump is big $$$

It will take longer to make boost as it is a large turbo in reality it'll loose hp until you had an injection pump that could fuel it

diesel's make hp from adding fuel but it will get hot so more boost is needed to cool it off!

adding air wont make hp only adding fuel will but air is needed when adding fuel to keep it from melting down

the k26 is you best bet for a stock injection pump!
