Can anyone do these ECU mods for me? - wanger - 10-28-2015

I'm after the EGR delete on my factory ECU as well as the ECU coded for a manual transmission.

Is there anyone who can Map the factory ECU to match the turbo / manifold / intercooler / exhaust mods i have planned?

Would like to keep the factory ECU and run the gearbox controller for my conversion.

I have found that getting the OM606 ECU mapped in the UK is very hard to do, the tuners are over in the US (rocketchip are apparently good) - the issue is that the OEM chip isn't reflashable and it needs to be removed from the ECU and socketed. If you do find a UK mapper please let me know as I havn't found any that can remap, seems its only the CDI engines that can be remapped easily. I too am planning to keep the stock EDC pump (but have 8mm elements fitted) and run the standalone gearbox controller, hopefully there is somewhere in the UK that can do it - issue also is that you can't just use any used ECU as its locked to the car.

You could buy an EDC controller from baldur on here..

RE: Can anyone do these ECU mods for me? - wanger - 10-29-2015

whats that and where can we see it?

RE: Can anyone do these ECU mods for me? - Hario' - 10-29-2015

The EDC is the electronic box on the back of the 210/202 IP's. Baldur's controller would control this and it is fully programmable. As the ecu cannot be *easily* modified or chipped.

Just curious... Could anyone give me some info or part number of the ECU? There's a slight chance I can remap these and maybe even unlock the immobilizer. I work at a chip tuning company but mostly build up cars and I don't know much about software modifications. Could ask my colleague who happens to be a very good friend of me and is an expert.

I can offer om606 and om605 ecu with immo deleted and remapped so no limp with egr and airflow meter removed.
Also remapped for stock 6mm or 8mm dieselmeken pumps depending.

Hope to have a new rev limit solution soon also for these ecus.
Eliminating the need for swapping to a modified mechanical pump for a higher rev limit

The ECU sticker from my G300:

Thanks. I'll ask him what he can do.

You can just fit an immobilizer bypass on these.

I don't suppose this would work with an Ole controller? ie remap the ECU so it's just an engine ECU?

I will be a customer if it's possible mate.

Cheers.

I have an ECU with the DAS (Immobiliser) bypassed. BAsically, a tiny curcuit board is installed that sends a code instead of the ignition/key doing it.

I also have a manual gearbox attached and no ECU modification required to do that. The ECU/Gearbox interraction is to cut fuel when the autobox is changing. If there's no signal for auto shifts, the ECU keeps sending fuel, so no problem. Mine works fine.

Seaniet, I'm interested in the MAF delete stuff as that's just one more thing to break, do you have any info on what the MAF is used for and how they get around the need for it?

RE: Can anyone do these ECU mods for me? - seanyt - 10-30-2015

Yeah its no secret the immobiliser is a cr1 fitted internally.
And the immobiliser chip is reprogrammed to it.

But the other work is socketting and chipping the ecu , so it can be remapped.
I'm currently building a list of maps for 6mm and 8 mm
So I can offer different states of tune.

The ecu is deimmobilised. So that it will work in any car and not locked to a specific vehicle. It also means I can test any ecu before its sent.

Once an ecu is supplied a new remap is simply a matter of swapping two chips. If your tune or pump is changed.

A custom rev limit is in development also.

The egr and airflow compliment each other so there mapped out and stop the ecu going into limp if removed

RE: Can anyone do these ECU mods for me? - wanger - 10-30-2015

so i can get a worked on ECU and fit it in my e300 and drive around like that then pull it out and do my conversion?

If so whats the cost ?

RE: Can anyone do these ECU mods for me? - seanyt - 10-30-2015

Yeah that's exactly it. And change the chips as you make your changes.
