evry mod - no constant boost at low rpm - Repetitio - 08-22-2015

Hi, just did the evry and installed a boost gauge. At lower RPM the gauge shows that boost is not Constant and i can also hear the turbo not spooling up in a line...hope you understand. Without evry everything is good. Also boost is lower when evry is in....is that normal is there a fault?

What engine is it? Perhaps the EVRY mod is messing with the ECU/vacuum transducer which controls the turbo if its on an E300 with the OM606.962 engine.

Its a c250 Turbodiesel w202.

Post some pictures of how you did this mod, I don't have such problems on mine.

you also do not have the stock turbo running in your car right? I will make a picture tomorrow and post it.

Yes, your correct but your turbo is vac controlled so it shouldn't mess with it??

I have no wastegate and there is no flutter etc

i checked my solderings again...everything is fine, i think it has something to do with the boost control...The car builds preasurre to 1,5bar, then stops, goes down to like 1 bar, and goes up again. Until i reach like 3,5k rpm, then its constantly at 1,1 bar or something like that. is there a way to trick the ecu?
Anybody else with a stock c250 turbodiesel only with evry having not the problem?

My brothers 250TD (completely stock) does the same "pressure change thing" at lower turbo pressure levels, so that seems to be  normal.

At full throttle a jump to 1,1bar, then down to 0,7bar and then leveling at 0,9bar

yea...would be nice if it would stay at 1,1 bar Smile thanks a lot volker for the info, now i know that there is nothing wrong with my car!

Mine too. ECU lowers boost at constant throttle (cruise), saves fuel!

RE: evry mod - no constant boost at low rpm - Repetitio - 09-01-2015

ok so it seems like some poeple have this problem...anybody got an idea how to solve this? i would like to get constant 1,5 bar or something like that.
If I connect the vacuum line directly to the actuator the turbo builds up more than 2 bar. Thats too much. Could this be reduced by something like a boost controller? like this: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Boost-Controller-Dampfrad-alle-Turbo-Motoren-Tuning-PS-Leistung-Benzin-Diesel-/371408823848?hash=item5679b0e628
Or anybody got another idea how to control my wastegate the easyest way?

RE: evry mod - no constant boost at low rpm - starynovy - 09-02-2015

Yes you could set pressure with that valve by leaking vaccum from actuator but I dont think you get full bottom end performance. Your wastegate will still have to by slightly open and that affects spool up. Simply said no, you would need to fit some pressure operated wastegate turbo to get steady boost and good spool.

Thanks you man, thats exactly what i wanted to know Smile
