Turbo inlet housing - inkblotz - 08-13-2015

I am doing some modes on my 603 (adding an water/air intercooler and such) and need some room under the hood of my G300. The factory turbo inlet housing has the, (now plugged) pollution control unit built into the inlet housing. I would like to find one without this. This is a new turbo from the factory so I don't really want to replace the whole turbo just the inlet housing.
(photos are examples for reference)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

I could do this but there is also a piston like bladder that sinks down into the turbo inlet which I would need to figure out a way to close up as well if. I could just get the non-pollution control housing would be better. Thanks for the suggestion

This one is sold and is actually for a 617 motor don't know if it's going to be the same size turbo. Thanks

My Garrett on my 617 had the same thing.  I welded the hole closed and made a blockoff plate.  If you dont have a way to weld the hole shut you can tap it for a pipe plug.  I dont recall the size but it would probably be a 1/4 or 3/8 npt.

If I have to go that way I will but you would think an inlet housing would be available for purchase.
