RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 03-10-2016

I think its still less than OM613 which has 73mm3 and six cylinders but you are very close.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 03-10-2016

I don´t know. As I wrote...not full rpm.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 03-15-2016

I compared your 0-180 time which is roughly 33s to my stock run and mine is 23s. 0-100 is almost the same at 8-9 seconds but in higher gear you slow down rapidly.

Take a look:

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 03-15-2016

Really nice. Soon I have to make a video with higher RPMs. I think with higher RPMs is it same now Smile
I have to make some stand for my phone - manual gearbox, only two hands Big Grin
But you must have little bit more power than original...? Without catalyst, EGR...

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 03-16-2016

Well after all that time invested into the engine I really hope it has at least like-new stock power. Catalyst was not clodged so it may add some MPG on casual drive but hardly any noticeable power increase. Cant wait to start playing with maps. Big Grin

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 03-19-2016

160-220, 5.gear till 4100rpm, winter tyres:

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 03-19-2016

So, finally here is my try 0-200 km/h - 29s.

I used a stopwach on both videos Big Grin

0-100:
You - 7,5s
Me  - 7,6s.

0-180:
You - 21,8s
Me  - 22,7s.

I think that both are pretty good. Original 320CDI 0-100: 8,3s

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 04-03-2016

How is it going? In the meanwhile I got my flasher, so i remaped it. I logged with diagnostics that it is injecting 100mm3 of diesel and 2470mBar of boost. Well that should do theoreticaly 198kW. It drives like crazy.  Big Grin

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 04-06-2016

Wow, nice numbers - go to dyno Smile

I have to do something with turbo outlet silencer and completely block the EGR. I think there is still air leak somewhere. And after this I will go for remap. Now I am like locomotive. I want at least 250HP/500Nm. I think, It´s possible with these parts.

I installed also new bigger front brakes. 345×30mm discs. Really nice brake power.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - Suitko - 04-07-2016

To auto vyzerá úplne epicky Smile Paráda len tak ďalej.

Very good loking car, keep up the good work Smile

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 04-07-2016

Díky moc Smile
Thank you very much Smile

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 04-09-2016

Yes, I did away with that silencer. Well it did have some function to it, now when it boost it makes a lot of noise in IC audiable inside of car. Also mounted 550x230 FMIC right behind the grill (mounted upwards). IAT did not go above 50°C on long WOTs.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 04-09-2016

I´m curious about the sound, but I hope without that silencer is everything better... or no? I have 535×435 FMIC mounted from upwards to downwards behind the stiffener Big Grin  IAT is very very good also.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 04-10-2016

I would say that sound is anything but better.  Big Grin Its hissing and making all kind of airflowing related noises in that big IC.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 04-11-2016

I thought better airflow and quicker response.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 04-12-2016

Hmm..as you wrote. Very loud airflowing..not so nice sound  Confused

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 04-12-2016

Well I doubt that silencer had any impact on power since its inside diameter is the same that of turbine. I got rid of it because I welded on turbo to acomodate 63mm silicone hose but in your case I would leave it be and do its job. Certainly it will do no harm to power output at 200-230HP. Somewhere I read it makes sense to delete it above 300PS.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 04-12-2016

Yeah also.. since you have your injectors remanufactured thats one less thing to worry about. But talking out of experience, install EGT gauge. My happiness with car did not last long, I have melted one piston. Dont know yet if some injector let go or it melted with heat. Therefore I say EGT gauge is a must, car did not smoke so no means to know what is actually going on.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 04-12-2016

I think that the engine has now quicker response but I drove only some kilometers. Tuikku said that this silencer limits the air and power to +-300HP ...but in OM648. 300/6=50, 50*4=200HP...So, I will see.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 05-02-2016

Does somebody know where is IQ and RP limiter in EDC15C6?? Real IQ is still 88mm3 and RP still 1350bar.

is that the famous sprinter DMF conversion kit?

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 11-22-2016

Yes Smile

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - barrote - 11-22-2016

after u install, can u post info about the resonance vibes ? and how it is compared to the original DMF, regarding vibes and noises...
much apreciated, clutches is a hard issue to solve in MB´s , at least for cheap .
thanks

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 11-22-2016

I am driving with it. I sent video with acceleration. Little bit vibration in acceleration in about 3000-3500rpm but nothing horrible. Idling absolutely smooth.

Make noise in neutral?

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 11-28-2016

nothing

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - Rom1 - 12-03-2016

You did eliminate piston bowl lip. For what purposes? Only to lower CR? Or also for bowl shape optimisation? What is CR now?

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 12-04-2016

Because of heat stress and lowering CR. Didn´t measured it. Original is 18:1 now about 16.5:1 but i don´t know.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - Rom1 - 12-04-2016

(12-04-2016, 01:37 PM)MartinB Because of heat stress and lowering CR. Didn´t measured it. Original is 18:1 now about 16.5:1 but i don´t know.
Is it smokes on idle now? Or smoke problems during wot? Because of not re-entrant bow shape, without lip. I want to lower CR on similar engine, but everyone told me that eliminate a lip not good idea because of bad air fuel mixing, not full combustion and smoke. What's your experience with lower CR and "Mexican Hat" bowl design? What about cold start? If you have problems with cold start, you can try to use glow plugs from later OM646 "Evo" engine, it's ceramic.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 12-04-2016

If is cold it smokes and stinks. But only if is cold. Now here is -7°C and starts perfectly like in summer.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 02-05-2017

Few more pictures and video. Only update is bigger rear brakes. Car behaves still very nicely. Power is ~195kW, RP 1650bar, boost 2.3bar, IQ 120+mm3

Another power increase will be soon.

100-200km/h: 15,6s

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 03-22-2017

New gauges - EGT, Boost, EMP, Oil pressure

EGT is very good. Very long WOT: <800°C

New video

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - Turbo - 06-16-2017

would be much more interesting to know about the build, I guess we all ready know an expert did the tuning Wink

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 06-16-2017

Nozzles are almost out of breath and I dont see putting another 500€ in it for bigger ones so I think we will settle with round 300HP. Not to mention that modded GT23V..another €€€€.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - tuikku - 06-16-2017

This is the one, that I owned previously.
Now there are ~about the same injectors, than in Black smoke racer.
Modded gt23 vnt  garrett, amg turbine + billet compressor.
Clutch from 320 V6 cdi
And 400 000 km.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 06-16-2017

That's huge amount of torque. Turbo is GT2564V with 11 blades?

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - tuikku - 06-17-2017

(06-16-2017, 03:35 PM)MartinB That's huge amount of torque. Turbo is GT2564V with 11 blades?

Compressor is orig size 6+6, but billet.
I do not like "owersize" compressors in small engines, nothing but harm ...
Boost is 2,8bar - practically no smoke, at all.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 06-17-2017

Do you think that the turbo will last this boost for a long time? I was wondering for GTD2060VZ in my car. Btw 350PS is ~155mm3?

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - Turbo - 06-17-2017

where can these injectors be bought? and what do they cost? Can you trust these injectors for long time?
Turbo solution is so easy injectors hard

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - starynovy - 06-18-2017

What kind of questions are these?

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - tuikku - 06-18-2017

(06-17-2017, 07:35 AM)MartinB Do you think that the turbo will last this boost for a long time? I was wondering for GTD2060VZ in my car. Btw 350PS is ~155mm3?

I have no idea for that,   ~160mm.

BSR have driven two seasons with those injectors.
Me and a couple of others more than two years now.
In Finland there are at least two places, where to buy, but maybe you can ask  from dieselmekken, he is also closer.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 06-18-2017

It´s not that hard to have bigger nozzles. Maybe I don´t know if I want to spend another money for another 50PS but I will see :-D
How it´s going with your ML420CDI? I bought S400CDI and can not wait for stage 1.

RE: W210 200 CDI, 200-250 HP/ 450-500 Nm - MartinB - 07-02-2017

0-170km/h acceleration

0-100km/h: 6,5s
0-140km/h: 11s

And my new S400CDI Stage 1

0-100km/h: 6,8s
0-140km/h: 12s
