OM606 & 722.6 Dimensions - matfield - 03-15-2015

Hi Lads,

This may have been done before, but I can't find it on a search. Does anyone have exact measurements from the very front most part of the 606 and the output flange of the 722.6?

Also is there a difference in length of the 722.6 that comes as standard on the E300TD and the 722.634 W 5 A 580 that came on the E270CDI?

Thanks

Mat

31 inches from front of crankshaft pulley to flange were bellhousing bolts on USA 98-99 E-300 OM 606. Can't answer about the E270CDI.

Thanks for that... its looking promising. All I need to do now is find measurements for the autobox Smile

All 722.6 mercedes boxes share the same rear part of housing, only front part with bellhousing is different with different engines (I6,V6,V8). 300td and 270cdi boxes are same sizes.

The trans is 23.5". And they are not all the same length. Because the bellhousings differ in length as well due to different crank offset to the flange.
