Seeking an OM601 engine, preferably in running condition with all accessories included. I could possibly pick it up if it is located within a reasonable driving distance from Kansas City, otherwise I would need it shipped.

why dont u buy a 604 2.2 td, is a far better engine and able to be in the 60HP cyl.
vitos used to have a 2300cc version of the 601, but is a 2 valve engine, not suitable to high revs.

There is no factory 604 turbo motor, as far as I know, or is there?
Plus 604's were never available in the US, so I would need to have it imported, unfortunately.

yes there are plenty of those in europe.
in 3 diff configurations , IDI 2000, IDI 2200, DI 2200. i´m not sure but there is a fourth , 2300 DI. 604´s are really remarkable engines they were fitted in the w210, and they still around one milion km after.
in the states this engine is on the vito/sprinter van.

Last time I checked, there was an OM601 engine listed for sale at Modern Imports in St Louis.
