RE: Differential - F.R.A.S - 01-28-2015

So a lower gear sits closer to the center??? Machine those millimeters or schim it if it's the other way around in other words. Sounds to easy...

RE: Differential - erx - 01-28-2015

Differences are about 10mm and there isn't much to machine. 3.07 ASD on left and 2.65 opened on right.

I bought them few years ago as they are, 2.65 was dry because front seal was leaking but I don't understand how that pin is so worn-out. Big Grin Because 2.65 ASD is hard to find I bought 3.07 ASD and I was planning to swap the internals but then I realized that there's different offset.

Such awesome info, I love you guys Smile

Can you put then bearing down on a flat surface and measure both and post the numbers???

Hello gentlemen,
What is the best W201/W204 differential (strength and ratio-wise) for an OM60x swap? It will be getting welded solid, so I am only interested in open differentials.
The car will be used for occasional drift events, but I would also like to be able to drive on the highway at reasonable RPM's. Smile

depends on the gearbox...  a 1:1 a 2.65 might be pretty awsome (from 300tdt and others) , a 0.8 in fifth might be good with a 3.07diff

RE: Differential - raysorenson - 02-13-2015

Weight of the vehicle is almost as important and projected power output.

Has anyone made any progress with this subject?
