722.6 vs 190 (W201) - Benjamin - 08-17-2014

Hello

I'm just wondering if the 722.6 transmission fits a 190?

I now it fits the engine the question is if it fits in the gearbox tunnel.
Maybe someone now.

I would like to mount This gearbox.

Yes, clearance is tight and mount fits.

I can imagine that the clearance is tight. The 5 speed dogleg that I have now is also tight.

The mount ist the same (bolt on) or is a re-welding necessary?

What driveshaft fits? Maybe a OEM one from a 4 speed auto gearbox?

We measured and believe the gearbox mounting cradle from the donor (W210 E300TD) will bolt to the 190 shell.
Don't think the 190 gearbox cradle will fit the 722..

Not sure, think the flex joints are different size, we are going to check the splines to see if the original 722 half pros shaft fits the 190 rear prop shaft and join them in the middle, will need length altering from thelooks of it.
