problem with om606.910 pump adjustment - kjuuteboom - 08-15-2014

Hello, im pretty new here, and sorry for my bad english a littlebit, but i latelly installed on my 606.910 a turbo from 606.962, and yesterday i tried to adjust IP Full Load. i made it so my laptop was nex to me with STD site with full load adjustment thread,so i made 2.5 turns CCW both full load(bottom left) and the one up right(idle quandity screw) and i also had to turn CCW idling auxilary spring. idling is like perfect, but the problem is on power,i added picture too what i did so its better to understand
so the car is doing like this, for me its really hard to tell you but i hope you understand. boost is coming slower that before, like 0.2bar less at certain rpm then before. from 0-20 its like extra slow,, and i really have to hit the gas to move, only when driving 100kmh then i dont have to hit gas so much but lower end i have to hid pedal to the metal. and when rpm hit 2000 then it goes, but it hasnt so much power then it was with previous settings(maybe original but someguy told me that he has adjusted this) and when rpm hits 3600 then i thing its the cutoff time because from there its lot less power, like 4000-5000 rpm its has so less power it only make noise, even with 2 gear it strokes.its really hard for me to make this text simple, idli is good, 0-1900rpm lot less power,2000rpm power comes,3600 power goes, upper rpm its like,5000rpm its probably 40kw only. otherwise, 2000-3600 its power, other rpm its not, before was like 1500-4500 was power
i hope i can fix it (with more power like atleast 10kw, so i can feel a little turbo)

where to i begin fix because i want my like 10kw or more so i can be happy

hello there,
remove the pump , take it to a diesel store, ask them to set governor settings as for 603 turbo, that should get u with the 10kw u search for.
its almost imposible to increase the pump to max load without a bench test, and even with a bench test sometimes it does not work well.
try to get to the point of start. it looks like u´ve decreased the delivery, or maybe u´ve asked too much rack travel.
if u really want reliable power , u got to change some few things in the engine and IP, easy to do.
if u need some advice , PM me.
regards
FD

hello again, i turned it back all three screws 2 turns, and the upperleft and bottom right sayd to 0.5 turns(after factory settings) and now, the power is like this,0-20kmh is like 5 seconds , pedal to metal, 80 goes like you can pretty much measure it with calender, it takes like 30 sek to 30-80kmh and 80-100 is the same 30 sek, when rpm goes 2000 then you can drive it, but like 600-1500 its like realllllllly slow , it takes 5 sek to rize rpm, and now max rpm is only 4500, before was 5500. its like impossible to drive,

but there is one big question, what is that thing over the top, next to the vacuum stop, with 26 key you can turn it(yellow arrow)

is there possible that this problem came because i turned this (with yellow arrrow in picture) out to get out "vacuum stop" to get oil back inside?

that my friend is ADA capsule, cuts fuel with altitude, to avoid black smoke.
put it back to where it was. Wink
