om617 yota - yota4life - 05-28-2014

Figured id start a build thread here too. Its a 91 yota bagged and body dropped on 18s with a rx7 ors 2x3 back half and om617a. I picked up 2 motors for 500$ bought the adapter kit from tdswaps. Longest 7 months to receive my parts ever one excuse after another. Still need to get it running been lagging on it and no extra cash to buy some parts plus im moving and the trucks going to storage for awhile. On to some pics

Defintely not my style, but the craftsmanship of all the work you are doing is amazing! Are you leaving the hood stack?
And did reroute the Bowden cable to the cruise control?

Cool project Smile

RE: om617 yota - yota4life - 05-29-2014

Hood stack is staying just gotta cut it down and drill a hole in the hood now. But no cruise control. Truck never had it so no point in adding it in. Thanks for the compliment. Hopefully itll be running sooner than later

Very cool

RE: om617 yota - yota4life - 05-29-2014

I also started building a gauge pod in the dash where the vents were. I dont have a heater anymore so decided to ditch the vents. And 3 gauges fit perfect there. 1 is oil pressure then the other 2 will be boost and egt when I get them

What trans are u using? Any engine mods?

RE: om617 yota - yota4life - 05-29-2014

Stock toyota 5 speed. No engine mods as of yet. Once I get it running and know for sure it runs properly I wanna add an intercooler maybe a bigger turbo would love for an upgrade pump but we'll see how it goes

Thanks alot! Its coming along slowly but surely. Kinda was a snow ball effect. The 22re Started overheating so I was just gonna motor swap to the om617 then got talked into the bodydrop then talked myself into the new back half. Now its almost done in all the areas. I tend to get bored an start something else then go back to it later
