C250td downpipe flange - anto - 03-11-2014

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had an old downpipe from a C250td (may be other models also) that would have the flange that mates up with the turbo. Its kind of like a V band but the faces are convex and concave compared to the flat faces of a normal V band. Its the concave part i need as i am fabricating up my own exhaust downpipe.

Thanks,
Anton

Not sure what you have seen but my downpipe off a c250td is a V band. Maybe there are different versions?

What i would call a V band kit/ flange would look like this -----||----- whereas the merc downpipe to turbo is like this -----((---- so a generic V Band clamp wouldnt fit it would end up looking like this -----|(----- if you see what i mean? It wouldnt seal correctly.

I have the small downpipe section (12" long goes between turbo & catalytic converter) from an E300TD, the turbos are slightly different but I think the v-band is the same, I can get some measurements if you want, WHat is wrong with your C250TD downpipe? is it 2.5" and good quality, just have to make a straight through section where the cats and silencers underneath are! No?
