Cylinder head differences OM603 - Einar - 07-19-2009

Hi.
I have a `91 300TD turbo OM603.960, with a cracked cylinder head.
I`ve always heard that you can use the head from a N/A engine without trouble when changing the exhaust valves and camshaft, but I know there is more aluminium around the prechambers in the turbo-head than the N/A head, my cylinder head har cracked around the prechambers on 4 cylinders, so I`m sceptical about it.
Is the head from 350SD a perfekt fit to?

Einar

Thats all right. The 350 has the updated head numbers less likely to crack.

I bought a head from a 603N/A-engine, looks very good, low mileage...

Anyone know what this is, the tubings that is attatched to the intake to each cylinder, looks very pro...

Looks like a hacked on EGR system. Gray market car?
