Mercedes 309d with an other engine - bill - 02-05-2014

Hi everybody I am bill from Greece and I have a Mercedes 309-602d track with blow up engine (a very old 617 no turbo engine with 88hp and 172nm).i want to put an 602.961 turbo engine from 190d with 122hp or an 602.963 turbo engine from sprider. If I put the second engine I will need a mechanical pump.is very difficult to find the first engine with few km so I think that the second one is oneway.if I put the second one which pump I will need and which is the appropriate setting.sorry from my English!!!

Someone will know, there are a good number of people who work with the 60X motors. I am a 617 guy sorry.

The 602.96x is all mechanical here in the states so finding one shouldnt be too hard. You may have to change out the timing device that the IP interfaces with. Please let us know what you find!

Is the electronics that hard to figure out?

My engineer today told me that we will put a diesel pump from a Mercedes OM 602/29 410 in 602.963 engine we will remove the electrical fuel injector with no problem
